Bull in a China Shop

I made this little number this week to submit for an exhibition that's part of the Westport Arts Festival. Fingers crossed she gets in! I used hardboard as a base, then stuck down a photocopy from a page of a book, once dry i painted over some stained varnish to give it that wooden'y effect, then started drawing and painting over it! :) was fun! had to wait a long time for the varnish to dry which was the only downside ;)

  1. awesome, you have alot of fun with your technique, your definitely the most inventive out of us, make us all look very conservative in comparison. And a great result too, it really sings!

  2. Nice picture Ruth, this series is a good idea. I saw all the pics on Facebook, you've been a busy bee recently! I love the way you have to search your pictures and think about what they could be composed of.
