Plein Air of Kilcullen in the mist

Oil on oil board 30 x 20 cm

This is a plein air I did last year in the winter at Kilcullen in the Boggeragh mountains.
It was done with quite a bit of speed, which is pretty obvious from the brushstrokes.
This being due to the freezing temperatures at the time and my need to get somewhere
where I could put some feeling back into my fingers... You have to wonder
about people who climb into wet bogs in the dead of winter :)

  1. Ah awesome, same area as the Sceitse trip in January. Very nice man, really like the way you render trees and the undergrowth, so lively
